Chapter 127 Conspiracy

Li Shuo was already waiting by the door. Hearing the sound of people coming up the stairs, he immediately opened the door and said to Zhao Meng and Xu Ao through the crack in the door, "Huang Meng is looking for you. Come in quickly." Then he immediately closed the door.

Xu Ao and Zhao Meng looked at each other, completely bewildered. Why was Huang Meng in his room? Nevertheless, they knocked on the door, and Li Shuo opened it a crack and pulled the two of them inside.

"What are you doing?" The two entered the room only to find that Huang Meng was not there at all. Xu Ao turned to look at Li Shuo, who was standing by the door, and asked.

"What am I doing? What are you doing! I've been watching you from the window for ages, and whispering amongst yourselves on the ground for half an hour. What are you plotting?"

Li Shuo looked at them with an accusatory expression, but considering that Huang Meng's room was right across the street, he didn't dare to question them loudly, so he could only ask in a low voice.

"What can we be plotting?"

Xu Ao didn't want too many people to know, especially those around Huang Meng. Now that he was the one who broke up with her, whether Huang Meng was angry with him or giving him the cold shoulder, it was better to avoid her altogether.

"Tch, still won't admit it. First they climbed the wall, then they discussed it for ages, so they wanted to go out, huh!" Li Shuo wasn't easily fooled; he guessed they probably wanted to go behind the wall to take a look.

"Well, since you already know, why ask?" Zhao Meng said irritably.

"I need to know the specific details." Li Shuo was annoyed by Zhao Meng's dismissive attitude.

"Why do you need to know so much? To report us?" Xu Ao replied bluntly.

"Tell me? Me? What do you take me for, a woman? Pshaw~ Besides, you two shouldn't be on the same side!" Li Shuo also had a look of watching the show, his eyes darting back and forth between the two.

"He's a highly educated person, after all. Times have changed." Zhao Meng didn't finish his sentence, crossing his arms and looking at Li Shuo with a smile on his face.

However, when Li Shuo opened the door, he first peeked out to look at the other side. The door was closed, so they were probably still sleeping. Then he gestured to the two people behind him, signaling them to follow him. He then crouched down and tiptoed out. Suddenly, a loud "thump" as the door closed startled Li Shuo, who immediately stood up straight.

"What are you doing!" He looked at Zhao Meng, who was staring at him blankly. "Close the door!" Zhao Meng said innocently.

Li Shuo gestured for him to be quiet, then looked at Huang Meng's doorway, waved behind him, and was about to step forward when Xu Ao and Zhao Meng strode past him, leaving him with one, no, two contemptuous glances.

"What kind of attitude is that!" Li Shuo gestured behind them, but still quickly followed. "Why don't you two listen to instructions?" Li Shuo couldn't help but say as they walked out of the lobby.

"Is it necessary? It's like doing something like stealing." Xu Ao glanced at him and said.

"No, they're mercenaries. Even though we're not as well-trained as them, we still need to maintain formation!"

"The other side are ruthless killers. You want to compare yourself to them?" Zhao Meng looked at him, though it was a joke, his eyes were extremely serious.

Li Shuo stopped talking, after all, he had never really witnessed the cruelty and cold-bloodedness of mercenaries, and his impression of those people was still based on some movies and TV shows.

"We're here." Li Shuo looked at Xu Ao, who had stopped by the wall, and then at the expressions of the two of them. "We're not going to climb over the wall, are we? Aren't there no mercenaries guarding us?"
