Chapter 250: Axel Vs The First Overseer
Chapter 246
Hosting the Entity?
That's the wildest shit ever. The Entity is something that even the Aetherians, who actually built those relics and this powerful city couldn't kill, having to it seal it on Earth, where magic is scarce.
The only reason it has been sealed for all these years is because it hasn't been allowed to use its actual powers.
And now, it has actually found a host!
"Mothefuck—Why is this becoming a trend?!" Axel exclaimed in frustration. Voldemort had also used Lockhart as a Host. And Axel had experienced first hand just how bad that was, to make someone as useless as Lockhart into a deathly warrior.
And now, the First has done the same. Only, he was already at a level where he had realistic chances of defeating Axel even without the Entity's powers, and the Entity itself was definitely above Voldemort's level.
Considering that the Entity can even use a fraction of its actually powers through the First, it would mean that Axel is fucked.
Axel stopped cursing and put his still recovering mind to use, thinking up hundreds of counter-steps a second.
So here's the situation: He is about to face an astronomically powerful opponent now, much much worse than Aslot, King, and all the other Overseers.
And that is saying something.
In response, he is still not in the best of condition, but he has indeed recovered a bit and has also gained control over the Royal Throne.
The First is about to arrive any second, meaning he has to rush over immediately.
Straining his mind, he quickly accessed all the information he had gotten through the Throne, deciding on his next step of actions.
'That's it.'
Having thought things through, Axel clicked his fingers. The space in front of him flickered and a cabinet full of syringes, potion vials appeared. On a sidenote, he could now control the space inside Atlantis, another one of the perks of being a King.
Axel picked up five of a particular kind of syringe, and stabbed them into his brain, emptying them in one go.
While staggering, he picked up multiple different kinds of syringes and stabbed them into his body.
Then, he gathered different types of potions, opened them, and poured them all in his mouth simultaneously.
Suddenly, Axel's whole body began shaking, veins popping all over. But Axel grinned, feeling his mind and body now working not only at full potential, but even reaching beyond it.
The problem of fatigue and physical and magical drain is not only a problem for Axel. So, Atlantis, with its advanced magi-tech knowledge, has developed quite a few solutions over the past.
The ones he just consumed give instantaneous but temporary effects in different fields, particularly useful for wartime.
Of course, no one would be crazy enough to take on as much dosage as their whole body would become dysfunctional due to pain and side effects, but Axel could bear it, having already experienced worse, and he could sort out any complications with the control he had obtained through [Poison Immunity]
Why his body tried to adapt, Axel took out a bloody eye-ball from his pocket. It was the Mind's eye, the Relic he had extracted from Scitius.
He tried bonding with it, but as expected, it didn't work out.
'Pity.'
If only he could have had the relic under his control, it would have been amazing. But as expected his luck just wouldn't allow it.
But there were other things Axel could do.
A series of weapons, armaments and equipment appeared all around the room. Some of them were relics while some were subrelics. Aslot's explosion had destroyed everything Axel owned, including his storage ring and all the weapons he had stored.
So he was fighting only with ordinary conjured clothes and the Royal Relic. But now, with the whole Royal Armory at his disposal, Axel can finally restock.
The first thing he picked was a Blue Armor that was made for the Kings. With the King's importance, of course they'd have a special defensive armor.
This armor could be turned into water along with his [Water Body] and, It's made from the best metal, with best defensive enchantments providing physical, magical and soul protection.
The only reason it's not a relic is because Relics just don't bond with everybody. So, it would be troublesome if it didn't acknowledge the king.
That's why this armor is made to be a sub-relic of the highest category with only the purpose to defend the king. The Real King, with actual access to the Royal Throne.
Axel didn't stop at that, as he covered the statues hands with water, further compressed them, then changed the water molecules to crystallize them to the point of unbreakabiliy.
"Now. stay like that." muttered Axel, brushing off his hands.
The Kingdom's forces hollered out loud their approval at the First being thoroughly crushed by their King. Even they hadn't noticed the hands moving until they had already closed up.
But... it didn't seem to work very well. Immediately, cracks began spreading throughout the statue and the water crystal, making Axel widen his eyes.
And then, a blast of pure energy occurred, blowing apart the huge hands like they were nothing.
Axel didn't stop to wonder how that was possible. Using more water, surrounded the First once again.
"Son, I don't think you understand the gravity of the situation here," said the first, now fully covered in tentacles once again.
A wide beam of destructive magic was released that blew away the water hit the giant statue. And the millenia old statue, whose size would even dwarf the tallest skyscrapers of Atlantis, was blown right through, its huge pieces falling on the army below.
Even as Axel used the Throne's control to rapidly shift away the army, his eyes were blank with shock, which was only increasing every second the more he comprehended the sheer power difference they had.
That Statue... it was so big that Axel's water avatar couldn't even reach its knees. Just stopping it had been so difficult for him. So, it can be imagined just how much force that palm-collision had contained.
It was so powerful that Axel literally had to control the space, so that the army wouldn't get blow away by the shockwave.
And just now, first managed to simply tear it apart without even trying.
And let's not even mention the solid covering he had made through his water crystals.
'Damn it, isn't this way too broken?!'
For the first time in his life, Axel felt that the situation might be too out of control. Even when facing Aslot and Zeta, he still never thought he'd actually lose.
But right now, it was almost... hopeless.
Even still, he has to fight. What's the alternative? To give in and become the Entity's slave? That's not possible.
Axel wouldn't for a moment think that the Entity would give a damn about him or anyone other than itself for that matter.
There's a detailed history about its deeds in the Kingdom's archives. And that's enough to know that for the Entity, everyone and everything other than itself is just something to use and destroy.
Giving in right now would result in him getting his soul bound by the Entity, which will only delay his death. Using him to massacre the whole kingdom would be a plus point. Maybe it might throw in the outer world too, to sweeten the deal.
Yeah, death right now seems much better.
Having made up his mind, Axel went into action. The space between him and the Kingdom's forces was expanded, causing the land to shake.
And now, with everyone far, far away from the place of the fight, a barrier appeared in front of them, so as to protect them from what was going to happen at the battlefield from now on.
At the same time, a huge volume of water began to be summoned from the Trident, filling up the whole surroundings.
But the first still remained unimpressed. "You'd need a lot more than that to put up a fight," he said leisurely.
"I know."
The space opened up and massive amounts of water burst out. And if that wasn't enough, the dome covered Atlantis also disappeared from the area above them, causing the water to gush in with huge force due to the pressure.
With the doping he had done before this fight, Axel had near-inexhaustible mental power for the next few hours. So now, he no longer has to hold back anymore.
The more the water, the more the power.
Surrounded with so much water, a blue aura began to revolve around Axel, growing larger and larger.
"Now, let's try this again."
